Stories about the up coming Performical
Performical by Max
V
At a performical people perform. In the performical people perform and it’s a
musical too. At a performical people
perform on the stage and a big audience comes to watch. Clive School is doing a performical called
Lester and Clyde. Before you do a
performical you need clothes and you need to practice a lot; I can’t wait till
the performical.

We are doing a performical on Wednesday and Tuesday next
week. We practise the songs, actions,
the words and dance. I am nervous. The performical is about Lester and
Clyde. They are frogs. We are doing the end of the book with room 4
and Room 5. The first song is “I’m on
the way.” And the next song is “You’ve got a friend.”
Performical By Hayley
We have been practicing for a performical with Room 5 and
4. We are getting better everyday
because we persevere a lot. Room 5,4 and
3 are putting on a performance in front of the school on Thursday. I am nervous next Wednesday we’re going to
put on the performical. We’re doing
three songs which are ‘you’ve got a friend in me” “I’m on my way” and
“sometimes all I need is the air that I breath.” We’ve got to wear black
clothes and a scarf.

Hi guys it’s ……. Emily.
Today I’m going to talk about our performical. A Performical is half a performance and half
a musical. Next week we are going to
perform our performical in front of an audience. I am nervous but excited. But this week we are going to perform to the
school. My Mum and Dad and cousin and
Nan and granddad are coming.

On Thursday we are doing a performical in front of the whole
school except Room 4 and 5 because they are doing it with us. We do it on the stage but the stage is too
small for us so there are big black blocks.
There is four lines and I’m in the first line. The first line and second line are so if
people in the third and fourth line, if they get mucked up, they look at line 1
and 2. We have Maddison and Connor for our readers. Our musical is called Lester and Clyde. There are three songs and they are ‘you’ve
got a friend in me”, “I’m on my way” and “Air that I breath”. The air that I breath is we put our hands up
on “breath”.

We are going to hop on stage. I’m going to be so nervous, because there are
going to be lots of parents there. My
Mum will be there but not my Dad because he’s in Australia working… I’m going to ask my Mum if she can video it
so she can show my Dad when he comes for my Birthday. The colour clothes we need to wear is black
and we can have a different colour scarf.
Now I’m going to tell you what songs we’re singing and dancing to “all I
need is the air that I breathe to love you”, “You’ve got a friend in me”.
Performical By Sophie
Over the last two or three weeks we have practising for the
performical. “But wait” do you know what a performical is? Well I’ll tell you,
it is a performance and a musical. On
Thursday Room 3, 4 and 5 are going to do it in front of the wwwwwhhhhhooole
school. “Wait!” more important is that we have to do it for a
biiiiiiiggggg audience (you should go see!)
(I’m in the front row.) GO SEE!!
We have two songs and one dance. “Wait”
three songs actually there’s one at the end.
There are four rows, row 4, row 3, row2 and row 1 (that’s me.)

Today and yesterday we did a performical practice. It was awesome and I loved it. Do you know why? Because you get to do
awesome moves and sing cool songs.
That’s why I love them. One
thing, have you ever been in a performical? I think so but the exciting thing
is that we get to do three things. 1. We
do a dance. 2. We sing and 3. We sing
again. I love the dance and the songs
but one more thing, the whole school sins as well called “there’s so many stars
on high”.

In the practice I look after Tyrone. Room 5, Room 4 and Room 3 persevere with

time. On Wednesday we will be doing it

very well. We have to wear black
clothes. Also I wonder what my parents
will say. I want to know what will the
Seniors are doing. We are doing it at Clive School. It will be very, very fun. We practise lots. Maddison and Connor are readers for the
performical. We are going to have big,
big audience. Our teachers will be very,
very, very proud of us.

Stories about our Cross Country Run
Run, run, run By
Jerzy
On the 10th of September it was…. Cross country
run!! I had lots of butterflies and I
was so nervous. My heart was pounding
just looking at it. Finally it was the
seven year old girls turn. We went to
the starting line and we were off in a tick.
The crowd was cheering. Two or
three minutes later Baylee came 1st and I came 10th.

On Wednesday it was my cross country day. I was nervous but determined to cross the
finish line. When the race started lots
of people were clapping really loud. I
got the stitch but I came 4th.
My Dad was so proud of me.
Cross Country
Run! By Hayley
Room 3 practised hard for the Cross Country Run. I practised really hard for the cross country
run. We persevered for the cross
country. There is a sad thing about it,
I didn’t get to do the Cross Country because I was sick. Baylee came first, Sian came second in the
Cross Country Run. I bet there was heaps
of cheering when people crossed the finished line. The course they did was two laps of
running. The cross country was last
Wednesday.

When Mrs Bassett took us to the starting line and I was
nervous when I was at the starting line.
My Mum said “Go Emma, go”. Cole
said “Go Emma, I know you can do it” I came 8th and hugged my friends.

On Wednesday the whole entire School did cross country, but
the Senior School did it on the Wednesday before us. When it was the Juniors turn we didn’t have
to run that far. We just had to run on
the field but the 8 year olds ran out of Clive School and they went down to the
Motel. Then Mrs Scott came and got the
seven year old girls and then it was our turn.

Cross country was last Wednesday. All the seven year old boys got called
up. We went to the starting line. Mrs Scott said “on your marks. Go.”
Then all the boys ran off as fast as they can. Harvey was in the led but then I caught up to
him. I was in front of everyone. Then we ran down to the gate. My friend Tyler was in the front.

On Wednesday the 7,6 and 5 year olds did cross country, I
took photos of them (so did Mrs Petherick.)
Baylee came 1st, Sian came 2nd and Yasmine came 3rd. But wait!
I told you about the 7,6 and 5 year olds; do you want me to tell you
about my cross country? Well o.k. so I
ran down to the Motels.

At cross country I was nervous when I got at the start line
(I was shaking with fear.) When I was close to the finish line the people were
cheering…. I got a number on my hand.
Guess what it is…. First. I was
so proud of myself.

One week ago I did…. Cross country… waahoo! I am excited!!! O.k. I am at the start line, Mr Wallace says,
“On your marks, get set”….. Clang went the blocks!! I am jogging, jogging. Oh no some one fell over, but I’m still

Cross Country Run

On Wednesday it was x-country run. We had to run around the field two
times. It was fun but afterwards I was
really tired. I came 11th but
I tried my best. When Mrs Scott said
“3,2,1 go” I was really nervous. My heart was pounding and here it
comes…..”go” Everyone sprinted!!
Cross Country Run

At cross country we have to run a short distance or a long
distance. We have cross country because
it makes you get fit, you have to try your best otherwise if you say to the
teacher “I came last and I didn’t try my best”, the teacher will be
disappointed in you. You should try your
best at cross country because you might have a chance of coming first, second,
third or forth. I always try my best at
cross country because it’s good for you.
Cross Country Run
By Harvey
On Wednesday Seniors and Juniors did cross country. I was at the start line. I was very nervous. Mrs Scott said “ready, steady, go.” At that second I blasted off. I ran to the gate, around again and back to
the gate. There was a cone that I had to
run around. Then I ran hard out. My heart was puffing like it was going to
explode. Then I saw it, the finish line,
it was right in front of me. I ran hard
core. But then Teina was right in front
of me. Max W came 1st place,
Tyler came second place, Teina came 3rd place and I (lucky me), came
4th place. The parents were
cheering “yay woo woo.” I was very, very
proud of myself. I was also very, very
determined to cross the finish line. The
other people were way, way, way back behind me, except Rhys, he was like ten
metres away from me. But eight year
olds, nine year olds had to run out of
the school. Some people had to go to
past the church to the Motel.
Cross Country Run
by Teina
On the day of the cross country, I was nervous, because I
was running with fast people. When we
ran I was trying to run at least one lap and I did it without giving up. Then I had to do one more lap. I was getting puffed but I didn’t want to
give up. I was coming 3rd
place. But Harvey was behind me. Then Harvey passed me, then I passed him,
then I came third. My cousin was
watching me and my Mum and Dad.
