We have been working in pairs to create a narrative story.  We talk to our buddy to get our ideas in our head and then we write, creating a picture in the readers head.  We need to have a character, setting, problem and solution.  Here are some of the stories written…
The Talking Treasure Chest          by Harvey
Once upon a time there was a talking treasure chest.  His name was Ruby Sword. He was rich indeed.  He always shows off.  He was very friendly.  His friends were called Harvey and Teina.  His house smells like rotten eggs.  He lived in a forest.  He had a house made out of diamonds.  His friends knocked on the door.  “Hello,” his friends shouted.  The talking treasure chest house smelled really bad. “What’s the smell?”  “It’s my house” replied the talking treasure chest.  His house sounds like people running inside.  After a while they went outside.  They had marshmallows on the beach.  They could not find their way  home, they were lost. They saw a house and knocked on the door.  Knock, knock, knock. “Come in,” the person said.  They came in but then… it was a witch.  “I will eat you.” “NO WAY”  They kicked the witch into the fire.  The witch that was going to eat the three people in her house.  They found the way home and lived happily ever after.

Polar Bear       by Roy
Our polar Bear likes to eat snow and fish.  He looks white and he looks like a fuzzy ball.  He is fat.  His best, best friend is black.  His other friend is brown.  He plays in the snow as well.  He likes his friends lots.  He found and apple orchard.  It smelled like rotten apples with ants in it.  He was chucking apples around.  They were splatting on the wall.  Then….. an ant yelled “wiho!!.  I am in the apple orchard.”   Then the polar Bear squashed him.   The polar Bear was stuck because the farmer old him off.  The polar bear was scared.  So the polar Bear just ate him.  Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Horse     by Emily
Once upon a time there lived a brown horse.  The horse had white patches and blue eyes, a long black tail and a black mane.  She lived in a haunted house.  It had ghosts, witches and spiders.  AAAAAaaaaaaaaah!  Scary. It smells like witches stew and rat pooh, yuk!  It sounds “echo-y”.  It looks black and dark and it feels slimy and sticky.  I wouldn’t live in there!  But the only problem was it kept getting caught on fire, so she decided to buy a new one.  The new house was sparkling and clean.  In her old house the flames were burning higher and higher. The flames were orange, yellow and red.

Top Cat     by Juel
Once upon a time there was a cat and his name is Top Cat.  He is a cat that had black dots all over himself.  His back paws were clean and sparkly and the front were dirty and muddy.  He said “I need to get more clothes.” So he got his shoes on and out the door he went.  On the way to the store he sa a building site.  It sounds like a driller drilling something in.  It looks like it’s going to fall down on him.  It smells like wood chips.  Then he saw everything is frozen, so he grabbed wood from the building site and made a fire.

Talking Treasure Chest        by Teina
Once upon a time there was a talking treasure chest.  His name was ruby Sword.  He looked friendly.  He sounds like treasure.  He feels hard and he is friendly.  He is very big filled with diamonds, money and rubies. He smells good.  He lived in a forest.  He lives in a diamond house.  It looks very sparkling.  It smells very god.  It sounds like crying.  He feels good every day.  Every time he walks out of is house he gets frightened by his brother.  Then he got lost.  Then he notes his foot prints.  So he followed his foot prints all the way home. He found his brother and they had fun with each other.

Spider-pig        By Hayley

Once upon a time there was a spider with a pig face.  He is a spider pig.  But he is an evil pig.  He has little red spooky eyes.  He sounds like a spooky, creaky house.  He has very white teeth!  The spider pig lived in the bottom of the sea.  The sea was so smooth that he could float on the top of the water.  The water smelt like salty water.  He liked the wishy-washy sound of the waves.  He likes the sea.  He makes a lot of friends in the sea.  He eats sea weed and sand.  But it never stopped raining.  Oh No! How could I make the rain stop?  I know how, I’ll swim under a big rock.  Aha!
