ASB visit

We had a visit from the ASB bank telling us about saving and how to put our money is safe places - like the bank!

Snakes

We have been learning about factual writing.  We used the I-pads to create a pic-collage and also to do word art on the topic of snakes.  We wrote a factual report about snakes after watching videos about these reptiles and reading books. We had pretend snakes which we had to measure (because we are doing measurement for maths.)  We have published this work and it is now hanging on a wire in Room 3.

Inquiry Learning

In our Inquiry group we have made a business.  We have been making products for market day.  Here are some photos of our production day making our products ready for sale.  We need to add packaging and our logo.  We had some awesome parents to help us - especially if we were using the hot glue gun.

Car wash!!!

Never joke with Phoebe!!  Yesterday, after Phoebe told me she was washing three cars after school as a way of earning money, I joked that she could wash my car!  After school - she got in her old clothes, got the bucket and car washing liquid and was away.........!!  What a fabulous role model for excellence!  Also (as part of our Inquiry unit) Phoebe was able to tell me she was providing a service rather than a product!  As a consumer - I'm very happy!  Thanks Phoebe and good luck with earning money to get a rabbit!
